Normal books can today be deemed ‘old fashioned’, even though many book stores continue to survive.

E-books are often noted as the replacement for traditional books. And while recent Kindle adverts focus on how well the device copes in the sun, ‘as if it’s paper’, it can make you wonder why you wouldn’t just buy a book in the first place. Books can be read at all angles, they don’t require any battery life, they are pretty difficult to loose, and if you misplace the book you can find replacements easy, without worrying about the cost of the product.

Yet in all seriousness, books don’t seem to be going away. There is nothing quite like turning a page, angling it to the side to see how many pages remain, then taking in the new smell of a new book and using your train or bus ticket as a book marker.

As you can probably tell by our website name, Reference Books are perhaps in favour of traditional books, but we do see the benefits from eBooks. You can have all of your books on one device, without placing them in a bag and breaking your back. And for frequent readers some may say E-books are essential.

It must be said that traditional books have attracted a great deal of attention, with many arguing they have a doomed future. We disagree and hope that many people love books the way we do, because  they deserve a bright future.
