Marking has to be the job teacher like least. Not just because the work is fairly tedious, but because it is something teachers are expected to do outside of work, and even though they are getting paid for it, it can be difficult to stay motivated and keep on top of things.

We of course want to be clear and say that it’s no excuse for a professional teacher to slack on marking, however, fatigue can set in, but you can beat it with a plan of action. The school day is broken down into a timetable, and when you create a timetable and plan of action for your marking, you can get through the work a lot quicker. Try to mix up subjects and not work on too any of the same papers at once. Keep your mind fresh and vary your timetable of marking. That should help you out a lot.
